Terms of use
Effective 6 October 2026 · mineracks pty ltd, Brisbane, Australia
The short version. Any Two Keys is experimental research software. It is free, it is provided as is, and it may lose money you put behind it. If you use it, you do so at your own risk, with your own keys, on your own devices. We never hold your keys or your coins.
1. Who we are
Any Two Keys, the software and this website, is published by mineracks pty ltd ("mineracks", "we"), a company in Brisbane, Australia. Our main site is mineracks.com.
2. What the software is
Any Two Keys is a Bitcoin coordinator for Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android that uses the OpenPGP applet on YubiKey 5 series keys as signing devices in a multisignature vault. It is a working prototype built to find out whether that idea holds up. It is not a finished product, it has not been independently audited, and it comes with no promise that it is correct, secure or fit for any purpose.
3. Research use only
You may use the software to study, test and evaluate the approach. We ask you, in plain terms, not to keep savings behind it. Test on signet first. If you decide to use real bitcoin, use amounts you are prepared to lose in full.
4. No custody, no service
The software runs on your own devices. Private keys are generated on your YubiKeys and never leave them. We do not hold, see or have any way to recover your keys, PINs, recovery lines or coins. Nothing here is an account with us, and there is nothing we can restore for you if a key, a PIN or the recovery line is lost.
By default the software talks to Bitcoin servers we run so it can read balances, fetch fees and broadcast transactions. If you switch on sync between your devices, the software also stores your records, encrypted on your device first, on a storage service we run. All of these servers are offered without any guarantee of availability or of keeping what is stored, and you can point the software at servers of your own choosing in its settings. Our privacy notice explains what each of them sees.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep your YubiKeys, their PINs and the vault's recovery line safe, and apart from each other. Sealed keys together with their PINs can rebuild the vault's descriptor, as well as spend: keep PINs away from keys.
- Check every address and amount on screen before you touch a key to approve a spend. A signed and broadcast transaction cannot be reversed.
- Keep your devices and their operating systems up to date. The software cannot protect you from a machine that shows you one thing and sends another.
- Follow the laws that apply to you, including tax and financial rules in your country.
6. No warranty
To the fullest extent the law allows, the software and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software is free of defects, that it will keep your bitcoin safe, or that the servers it uses will be available.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, mineracks, its directors, employees and contributors are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or inability to use, the software, this website or the servers it connects to. This includes lost bitcoin, lost keys, lost profits, and any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, however it arises and even if we were told it might.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where our liability can be limited but not excluded, it is limited, at our option, to supplying the software again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
8. Not advice
Nothing on this website is financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, hold or use bitcoin.
9. Licence and source
The formats the software relies on are published. The source code is not public yet: the repository opens with the first release, and from then your use of the source is governed by the licence file in it, which takes precedence over these terms for the code itself. These terms govern this website and every build we distribute, including builds sent to testers through TestFlight and Google Play.
10. Trade marks
YubiKey is a trade mark of Yubico AB. Any Two Keys is not made by, affiliated with or endorsed by Yubico; the name appears here because the software works with YubiKey 5 series keys. mineracks is a registered trade mark of mineracks pty ltd.
11. Changes
We may change these terms and the software at any time. The date at the top of this page is the date the current terms took effect. Using the software or the site after a change means you accept the changed terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts there.
13. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to us through mineracks.com.
